We talk about the manga, the anime, the new anime, and the live action drama all in the context of the female gaze, matriarchies, and gender and sexual queerness. If you thought transporting yourself back in time to the Moon Kingdom was hard just wait until you hear about our dumb struggles against the limitations of the 90s and early 00s. It's time to get high on nasal decongestants and serums that fuck with your DNA, because Hoyden and Pru have congregated this very special week to talk about the latest, the probably not greatest, X-Men: Days of Futures Past. We discuss how the hell this movie managed to keep so many different threads clear, and whether or not the character arcs for our trio of leads worked, and if this movie course corrected on some of the more annoying paternalism from the first. 411 Spider-man 2

Break out your grain alcohol and sense of inevitable disappointment, because /report got Pru and Merelyn hammered and talking about The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Fair warning, tender listeners, we absolutely hated this movie and our hour+ dissertation on why we do is unwavering on this point, not even Andrew Garfield's doe eyes and jiggly backside or Emma Stone's dynamic brightness and fantastic hats could rescue our feelings. But if you want someone to commiserate, or hear stories about terrible life choices, the best leather seats at an AMC in New York, or our various "best parts of the movie" (none of which involved the movie), stick around.
