Slash Report 30 October 2011

Welcome back to yet another week of /reporter-y goodness with <user name="thehoyden"> as a special guest. This week we talk about how our tentative quality rating on NCIS this week, discuss keeping boys as pets (what else are you going to do with them anyway?), yammer on about Sherlock, and discuss our ongoing Why Are We Even Dating You Anymore relationship with Hawaii 5-0.

Also! Don't forget that next week we will be recording our first ever Author Talk with the hoyden, so please send us questions you've always wanted to ask her -- about life, the universe, writing, what her hopes and dreams are, why she hangs out with us losers -- to our twitter account or email us at slashreport at gmail.com.

Much delayed, it's a mini episode of /report all about Merlin. There are loads of spoilers for Series 4, so be prepared for that (aired episodes only). This is also a special episode because this episode is the first to not be hosted on Cloudly.

Guys, we recorded for over an hour this week before scrapping the episode and re-recording on a different topic entirely. If we sound punchy at all it's because it was late in England and in Canada. (Oops?)

But! This week we cover a delightful range of children's and young adult books, which we hope you will enjoy, and we finish up with some book recs for you.

This week's episode is fiiiiinally finished. We're both pretty messed up during this week's episode due to illness and various fails, so please enjoy Pru and MK less-censored-than-usual.

This week we discuss Fringe, NCIS, Good Wife, NCIS L-Gay, Mentalist, Dresden Files, the great Delicious departure, and more. We have a Fandom Safari, a boatload of recs for you, and some fail. I'm sure you'll really enjoy it.

Recs will be on our twitter account as usual, but for those of you interested in alt-fannish-delicious we still need:

  • Programmers, or people willing to learn Ruby / Java / etc
  • UX/UI people
  • systems person to manage other things and/or a server eventually
  • entrepreneur/business types
  • launch page / updates blog / etc
  • hosting or someone to manage hosting - more complicated since it must run some kind of ruby - if you're interested in providing we can give you more details
  • Javascript people who can make browser extensions (Chrome, Firefox)

Enjoy?
