309 Tropes

We heard you guys like tropes so we got you some tropes so you could trope while you trope. In case that wasn't a dead giveaway, we're returning to one of our - and your - favorite topics: fandom tropes. We talk about everything from soulbonding (and how much we love and hate it) to vampire AUs (and how much we love and hate it). If you, too, have strong feelings and a distinct weakness for this action, plug in.

308 Ask Us Anything

Our long internet-national nightmare is over, folks! Pru and MK finally managed to pull their thumbs out of their butts and corral up all of your questions for our semi-annual Ask Us Anything episode. We talk about everything from how to make friends on the internet (sort of) to what is plagiarism (sort of) and turn up a long-buried Fandom Safari for Lewis. If you feel up for hearing us make total dicks of ourselves - and we know you guys are - stick around.

306 Hockey RPF

Strap on your skates, assholes. This week we're doing it Kate Beaton style and getting all fucked up on Hockey. Whether you're not sure why Hockey RPF suddenly exploded as a major fandom and want to experience the joy and agony of #sports or you're already with us, this episode is like the steroids we're sure no professional athlete would ever take. Pru abandons MK with Merelyn, Twentysomething, and the Hoyden to talk lockout, why some pairings are bigger than others, and just how seriously Canada takes their national winter sport. 305 The Fourth Wall

You thought surveillance by The Machine was bad, this week, we talk about fandom and our best friend slash worst enemy, the fourth wall. We discuss its origins, the ways it's changed with the advent of technology and the proliferation of fan culture, and the topics that plague us today: what constitutes a fourth wall break, and just what the hell we can do about it.

304 Person of Interest

You are being watched, /reporters. We have a secret system, a machine that spies on you every hour of every day. We know because we feed our data into it constantly because it is called Twitter and Tumblr. It was designed to detect acts of hipsterism and asinine updating, and it sees everything, even people with FEELS like you. FEELS that other podcasts may consider "irrelevant." We don't. Hunted by our better judgment, we work not really in as much secrecy as we should considering; and if your topic is up...we'll see you at the podcast.

TL;DR: This week's episode is about Person of Interest. We made Leupagus come on and talk about it like she was lancing a boil made of AGONIZING FANNISH SUFFERING. Check it out.
